Hiya!

My name is Ariel Carpenter, and I am the breeder behind Pathfinder Pomskies- a small program dedicated to creating the healthiest and best tempered standard-sized pomskies. After receiving mentorship the past couple of years (which never truly ends btw!), I became the official illustrator for the Illustrated Breed Standard on behalf of the American Pomsky Kennel Club; which allows me to leave my mark on the breed permanently in a very special way whilst collaborating with the APKC board members on helping this beautiful, young breed progress forward. Originally from Texas- I am a proud Air Force wife to an exemplary man currently serving in Active Duty. This was how we were moved from the south to the PNW region and we couldn’t have asked for a better duty station! We are a very active pack; always seeking opportunities to go hiking, skiing, running, long walks or hitting the gym. We currently reside in rural suburbia, where we own a home that we raise our dogs and puppies in. We have plans of purchasing and moving onto a property with acreage in the coming years, but one step at a time! I am also currently a nursing student.

When I was little I grew up with a black lab, who served as a hunting companion for my father. My mother groomed dogs professionally for several years, as well as served on dog rescues. My brother is just as keen on dogs, and also has professional dog training experience under his belt. In other words? I’ve been around dogs my entire life. But my entrance to the Spitz family of dog breeds wasn’t until we moved up to the PNW. It was here that we met this magical breed and hope to play our part in seeing it improve.

Breeding is many things- and easy is not one of them. I do not take it lightly at all. I look forward to helping you find the perfect dog for you and/or your family.
