Pathfinder Pomskies - Frequently Asked Questions

What options are available to get my puppy?

We offer both Ground Transportation & domestic flights via Flight Nannies in the U.S. (Flight Nannies typically charge around $675 for domestic deliveries, $1250 for U.S. to Canada deliveries) You are also welcome to fly and pickup your puppy at our nearest airport (Spokane International) yourself to save some money on delivery if you are able. Ground transportation is available to all families who reside in Washington, Northern Idaho, & Northern Oregon. Please note that, at this time, we will not put our puppies in flight Cargo.

How big will my Pathfinder puppy get when it’s fully grown?

We proudly breed standard size pomskies, so our pups usually top out in the 20-30 lbs range. Each puppy is carefully weighed before they go home and we will provide you with a size estimate for each puppy.

What payment options do you accept?

Cash, Cashapp, Venmo, Zelle, & Good Dog. (Paypal only accepted for international families)

Cash must be in-person at time of pick up. If using an app to pay: full payment must be paid BEFORE puppy delivery/pickup.

Are Pomskies okay for First-Time Dog Owners?

This is a difficult question to answer. The breed as a whole? I’d say typically not. However, I think it mostly comes down to the individual puppy and the responsibility level of the owner. For first time dog owners who want a pomsky, it’s important that you select a dog based on their temperament and your lifestyle. It’s important to do your fair share of research if you are a beginner to owning a dog- the good and the bad. As the breeder, I can assist you in selecting a puppy that would be an “easier” fit for a newcomer and direct you to any relevant information that may prove helpful to you.

Are your pomskies registered?

Yes, our parent dogs and our litters are CKC registered. Your puppy will come with a pre-printed CKC registration form should you decide to register your puppy and we highly encourage that you do so.

Can I buy two puppies from the same litter?

No, we do not allow buyers to buy two puppies at the same time unless they have had previous experience doing so. We strongly recommend against this to avoid the infamous Littermate Syndrome AND accidentally overwhelming yourself with more responsibility than you can chew. However, you are more than welcome to wait until a future/next litter to get a playmate for your new puppy!

Do you offer breeding rights?

Breeding rights are only on select puppies who are deemed to be of exceptional “prospect” quality and are only given to approved and experienced breeders. In addition, breeding prospects cannot be evaluated until the puppy is at least 6 weeks old.

Do you offer mentorship to an interested or up n’ coming breeder?

No, not officially or full-time at the moment but I’m always more than happy to answer questions or help others. Don’t be shy!

Do you OFA test your dogs?

Yes, we make every effort to include breed-relevant OFA testing to all of our parent dogs in addition to our Embark genetic panels. Our OFA test results and Embark results are all available here on our website under the dog’s profiles. As our program continues to grow, we will introduce more testing.

How long have you been breeding?

2023 will be our first and second litters. 2021-2022 was spent being mentored, learning from other breeders, absorbing information like a sponge and enjoying our foundation sire/dam’s puppyhood after selection. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for us!

Where are you located?

Pathfinder Pomskies is located in Airway Heights, Washington - a small, humble town near Spokane, Washington and Fairchild AFB.
